On 27 May 2025, Professor Vincent Kelly, Academic Director of the ARC Hub for Therapeutics, took part in the Polish Medical Biotech Day at Trinity College Dublin, sharing his insights on the commercialisation of research and the translation of academic innovation into therapeutic and commercial impact.

The event, hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ireland, in collaboration with BioInMed and Trinity College Dublin, brought together leaders from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences sectors. Participating Polish biotech companies presented innovations in drug discovery and development, AI/ML-powered research platforms, whole-genome analysis, and personalized DNA damage detection.

Covering key therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology, autoimmune and fibrotic diseases, and psychiatry, the event fostered networking opportunities and knowledge exchange between Irish and Polish researchers, startups, and industry partners. It also formed part of Poland’s EU Council Presidency program, highlighting Europe’s growing collaboration in biomedical innovation.
