We are part of a wider Ecosystem

Collaboration is at the heart of the ARC Hub for Therapeutics. We work in close partnership with industry leaders, national institutes, investors and key stakeholders to accelerate the development and delivery of innovative therapeutics. Our network includes local and international venture capital firms, venture builders, contract research organisation, and enterprise support organisations, helping us bridge the gap between academic discovery and commercial impact. This connected ecosystem ensures that new therapeutic breakthroughs are supported by the expertise, infrastructure, and investment necessary to achieve real-world application.

Collaboration across our committees and governance structures is key to how we operate. This includes our advisory partners, who provide guidance and advice to our projects at early stages, ensuring strong alignment with industry needs and translational potential.

We are deeply embedded within Ireland’s national research landscape, collaborating with Research Ireland-funded Centres, regulatory and clinical trial support bodies, and academic institutions across the country. Our model is inclusive, agile, and translational, bringing together discovery science, clinical development, and enterprise. These partnerships are not only important, they are essential to our mission: the Research Ireland ARC Hub for Therapeutics will equip researchers with the skills, knowledge, and industry exposure needed to transform academic excellence into commercialisation success—accelerating their research projects towards real-world. impact and shaping them into entrepreneurial leaders within Ireland’s biopharma sector.

We are delighted that the ARC Hub is now a reality. Working in partnership, we have a great opportunity to integrate the Irish biotech ecosystem with Irish universities, including the involvement of VCs, CROs and Industry to help to fast track the development of our early stage drug discovery projects with the ultimate aim to create high potential startup companies from Irish life sciences research”

We, at UCD, are delighted to partner with our good colleagues at Trinity College Dublin and RCSI to co-lead this exciting new initiative of national importance. The ARC Hub for Therapeutics provides a critical bridge between original discoveries in the life sciences and downstream novel therapeutic applications. It allows targeted and timely investments to be made to fast-track therapeutic innovations towards commercialisation and clinical utility, across a wide variety of disease areas.”
