Prof. Jeremy Simpson is Full Professor of Cell Biology at University College Dublin (UCD). His research experience was gained across several universities and research institutes, including the University of Warwick, the Scripps Research Institute and EMBL-Heidelberg. He joined UCD in 2008, and his research applies high-throughput and high-content imaging technologies to investigate intracellular trafficking defects that give rise to disease and the methods by which cells interact with nanoparticles. His work bridges fundamental cell biology with applications in drug delivery and therapeutic innovation. He currently serves as the UCD Dean of Science.
