Prof. Siobhán McClean is a Professor in the UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science and a Conway Fellow at the UCD Conway Institute. Her research focuses on bacterial pathogenesis and vaccine development, with a particular emphasis on respiratory infections and antimicrobial resistant bacteria. Prof. McClean leads projects identifying novel bacterial antigens for vaccine development and collaborates with partners across academia and industry to advance translational immunology. She is widely recognised for her contributions to infectious disease research and her commitment to mentoring early-career scientists.
