William brings over 20 years of experience across industry and academia, with a career spanning drug discovery, entrepreneurship, and research commercialisation.
He was Co-founder and CEO of Parvalis Therapeutics, a virtual drug-discovery company, where he successfully secured seed investment from venture capital firms and government funding agencies. William held key technical roles at Opsona Therapeutics, a Trinity College Dublin spin-out, leading collaborative small-molecule discovery programmes with a major US pharmaceutical partner and contributing to the development of the company’s lead antibody asset, which advanced to Phase II clinical trials.
Beyond his start-up leadership, William has worked within Trinity College Dublin in Project Management and Business Development/Research Funding roles, supporting strategic collaborations and innovation initiatives across the university.
William now works as the Business Development and Training Manager for the ARC Hub for Therapeutics, where he partners with research teams to develop compelling business cases for emerging technologies and engages key stakeholders to accelerate their impact. He also manages entrepreneurial training for researchers across the hub.
