The National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) hosted a highly impactful Research Conference over the past two days, welcoming more than 150 global leaders to its facility in Dublin.
The event brought together key experts from academia, industry, and the clinical community to explore both the challenges and opportunities involved in translating advanced therapies, particularly cell and gene treatments, into scalable, accessible solutions for patients.
The conference provided a valuable platform for cross-sector dialogue on the future of translational research and innovation.
The ARC Hub for Therapeutics was well represented at this important gathering. Professor Vincent Kelly, ARC Hub Academic Director, contributed to a panel discussion on the reality of translation, where he highlighted key sector challenges alongside experts from EY, Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia, Enterprise Ireland, and HAON Life Sciences.
Members of the ARC Hub Operations Leadership team were also in attendance, including Aoife Campbell and David Loughrey (Portfolio Managers), Jacqueline Ballentine Armstrong (Operations and Finance Manager), and Cíntia Marques Silva (Communications Manager).
