Prof. Jochen H. M. Prehn chairs the Department of Physiology & Medical Physics and serves as Director of the Centre for Systems Medicine at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences (RCSI). His research addresses systems-biology and network-informed approaches to disease, focusing on mitochondrial dysfunction, cell death signalling and predictive biomarkers in cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, including glioblastoma and Parkinson’s disease. Prof. Prehn has led major EU and national projects (for example APO-DECIDE, PD-MitoQUANT) and holds over 200 publications, reflecting his standing in translational and computational medicine.
