Dr. Niamh M. Connolly is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physiology & Medical Physics at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences (RCSI). Her innovate interdisciplinary research spans computational and experimental approaches to explore metabolic and bioenergetic dysfunction in Parkinson’s Disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. She applies spatial multi-omics and single-cell imaging techniques to investigate cell type vulnerability in disease. Dr. Connolly contributes to high-impact EU-funded programmes and actively embeds patient and public involvement in her work, bridging fundamental discovery and deeper understanding of clinical relevance.
