Prof. Matthew Campbell is the Chair of Neurovascular Genetics in the Smurfit Institute of Genetics at Trinity College Dublin (TCD). His work focuses on the molecular biology of the blood-brain and blood-retina barriers, exploring how tight-junction modulation can enable therapeutic delivery to neural tissues. With over 23 years of research experience, he has secured major funding including an ERC Consolidator Grant and founded a spin-out company focused on neural barrier therapies.
