Dr. Tom Hodgkinson is a Research Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy & Regenerative Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). He completed his PhD in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Manchester and his post-doctoral work included mechanobiology and biomaterial delivery for cartilage and bone repair. His current research addresses regenerative strategies for osteochondral repair and treatment of chronic joint conditions using engineered biomaterials, gene delivery, and stem-cell differentiation technologies. Dr Hodgkinson’s work sits at the nexus of bioengineering and translational medicine, aiming to bridge laboratory innovation with patient-centred therapeutic outcomes.
