Prof. Michelle E. Armstrong is a Professor of Translational Respiratory Medicine at Trinity College Dublin, where she investigates immune responses in lung diseases and develops nano-based therapies for conditions such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and allergic airway inflammation. Her research has revealed key genetic determinants of disease severity and pioneered new therapeutic approaches. With a BSc/MSc in Biomedical Science and a PhD in Molecular Neuroendocrinology from the University of Cambridge, Prof Armstrong combines rigorous academic training with translational ambition, making her a vital contributor to the development of next-generation respiratory medicine.
